Grafton & District Funerals has been supporting the Grafton and district community for more than 35 years.


Our staff are locals caring for locals. We are all different individuals, but we all have the same goal – to ensure that our client families are looked after, cared for and supported in every way possible during what is often an exhausting and emotionally draining time. 


We offer compassionate, caring service before, during and after the funeral, to your family. No request is ever ignored. We will endeavour to fulfill any wishes or requests that a family may have.

At Grafton & District Funerals, we provide hassle-free, personal funeral services in the Clarence Valley and appreciate that taking a little extra time to get to know a family and their late loved one can make all the difference. 


For example, when another family expressed a desire to have a Harley hearse for their late dad, who was a mad Harley rider, the Grafton & District Funerals team tracked down a Harley carriage in Brisbane and arranged for it to be transferred to Grafton, garaged at the funeral home and used at the gentleman’s funeral.


Going above and beyond for families is something our team is renowned for. We are passionate about accommodating your family’s wishes and truly personalising the service to reflect the life of your loved one.

Just like people’s lives, funerals come in all shapes and sizes and we will help you arrange a memorable event, whether you wish to hold it at our faciltity, a local church or any other destination that reflects your loved one’s wishes.


We also have an arrangement with the local Salvation Army Citadel to hold non-denominational services in their hall which seats 150 people.

Our Team

We employ 12 people who support businesses in the Clarence Valley, own homes and are well entrenched in the local community.


As a business, we support the Clarence Valley Chamber of Commerce, Meals on Wheels, Share the Dignity program, South Grafton Bowls, Clarence Valley Camp Oven Festival and assist the RSL with Anzac Day and Remembrance Day services throughout the Clarence Valley.

Plan How Your Life is Remembered

Saying goodbye is never easy. But with a little forward thinking, comes clarity, comfort and the joy of reflecting on a life well-lived.

Planning ahead means celebrating your life, your way - and saying goodbye on your own terms. Creating the time to look back on your experiences and the moments that tell your story, and designing a farewell that reflects you.  

That’s where our Australia-wide funeral planning service Guardian Plan can help. Guardian Plan empowers you to take ownership of what matters to you, and removes the burden from your loved ones when it comes time to say goodbye.

Guardian Plan allows you to agree a cost for your funeral at today’s prices and be protected from inflation. You’re also free to move your Guardian Plan and transfer to one of the 250 homes in our network across Australia.

Funeral plans can cost between $6,000 - $15,000, depending on what you choose. The plan may include the funeral service, coffin, transportation, documentation, burial or cremation and full professional support. We can also help you to secure a burial plot or memorial for ashes. 

The end of our lives may not be something we’re inclined to talk about, but an open chat about the inevitable needn’t be a sombre affair. We’d like to start that conversation, so you can do the same with your family and friends.

Pre-planning your funeral gives you the opportunity to pay in advance. With payment plans of up to three years and no hidden costs, your loved ones won’t be left to pay the bill.

Funeral plans are exempted from the asset test, so it may also help maximise your pension if you meet the ATO criteria

It’s comforting to know everything will be taken care of, no matter what. A prepaid funeral is guaranteed from the moment of payment, whereas missing an insurance payment often means cover lapses. Insurance may also cost more over time and is not protected from inflation.

All payments are held securely by The Over Fifty's Guardian Friendly Society, under APRA regulation. Funds are only released to the funeral home of your choosing at the time of the funeral.
